Relaxation can be as simple as paying attention to your breath and noticing when your mind starts to wander and then having the awareness to return your attention back to the breath. This is called Mindfulness, which is moment to moment awareness without judgement or criticism.
During the workshop you will explore and practice different relaxation techniques for both your mind and body which are helpful during times of stress -- find what works for you, and incorporate it into your daily life and mat time.
One thing to remember is that relaxation techniques offer the greatest stress-reducing benefits when the technique itself does not stress you out! This is why it is good to have more than one tool in your toolbox, as the same thing may not work every time and each time might require something different.
Choose to practice relaxation techniques that you like, feel comfortable with, and feel relaxed by. Then learn to make it a regular part of your life!
